  25.     It is in fact not the problem of the Sportster modem. Original
  26. Sportster 28800 needs to be upgraded its EPROM before transmitting
  27. data at the rate of 33.6kbps. Without upgrade, i can only connect up
  28. to 31600 bps. 
  29.     The 'busy while ringing' problem also annoyed me so long that
  30. I have to add ,,, after each tel. no. It makes the USR modem to ignore
  31. any incoming signal for seconds.The solution was also announced in the
  32. newsgroup. It does solve the problem! There is, in fact, no need to
  33. buy another one.
